There are a few questions people normally have about our shelters.  This page will try to answer some of those questions.
Silverstream Shelters latest buildings feature truss-type roofs made from square tubing rather than round, which gives them added strength. We feature a 30 foot single arch made of 2 by 2 inch 12 guage steel. Truss-type arches are available in 30, 38, 42, 50 and 65 foot widths-any length you want.

Here are answers to some frequently asked questions:

What size building can I order?

Silverstream Shelters manufacture buildings of any length. Our wooden arch buildings come in widths of 30, 38 and 42 feet. Our single arch steel model comes in a 30 foot width and the steel truss model comes in 30, 38, 42, 50 and 65 foot widths.

What kind of warranty do you offer?

Frame and cover kits carry a 15-year prorated warranty against manufacturing defects.

Can I get a replacement tarp-and in what color?

Yes, we offer replacement tarps in silver, white, green, blue or tan. We have delivery trucks on the road every week so freight is quite reasonable.

What is your shelter's snow load rating?

Silverstream Shelter is proud to offer a 41 lbs/sq ft snow load rating on our wood arch buildings. (compare with some pole barn sheds at only 30 lbs sq/ft) We can hang a PICK-UP truck from our steel truss building!!

What is Powder Coating? Galvanizing?

Unlike pre-galvanized steel, where the coating burns off when you weld the joints, our Galvanizing is applied after fabrication. We "hot dip" the finished rafter, so all joints are coated for more complete protection against rust. By using this process you don't find rust bleeding through on the welds like you'll find on regular galvanized hoop buildings. You also end up with a thicker coat of Galvanizing.

Various colors of power coating are also available.

After our steel truss or steel arch is completed it is then powder coated-welds and all!  The steel truss/arch is charged with electricity and then the powder coating is applied. The truss/arch is then baked at 600 degrees for 20 minutes until you have a smooth, shiny and very rugged finish.

Why would I choose a wooden arch?

Silverstream Shelters offers a wooden arch building because they cost less than other hoop buildings and are easier to insulate. Our wooden arch buildings are also easier to convert into a more permanent structure. The wood frame makes it easy to replace the canvas with wood or metal siding
